Examination — Interview (Personality Test) tentative timeline

This cycle's dates come from UPSC's own Calendar of Examinations (published 20 May 2026), so they're on firmer ground than an estimate — though UPSC still reserves the right to revise them in the actual notification.

Why don't you just list a confirmed Interview date?
Because UPSC itself hasn't set one yet — it only schedules Interviews after declaring the Mains result, specific to that cycle's qualifiers. Anyone quoting an exact Interview date before the Mains result is guessing, same as this page's tentative window.
Will the CSE 2027 dates definitely hold?
They're UPSC's own published calendar dates, so they're more reliable than an estimate — but UPSC has shifted dates by a few weeks in the actual notification before. Treat "23 May 2027" as the planning date, and reconfirm once the notification itself is out in January 2027.
