|---|---|---|
| 1. Coverage | A phrase-by-phrase checklist for all 26 units. | Every phrase in both supplied syllabi has an identified reading and short explanation. |
| 2. Concepts | One concept sheet per cluster: definition, assumptions, mechanism, critique. | Explain it without a memorised paragraph and distinguish it from its nearest neighbour. |
| 3. Thinkers and institutions | Problem-mechanism-limit cards; institutional mandate-process-accountability cards. | Apply the idea to a case and identify a condition under which it fails. |
| 4. Historical questions | A dated PYQ notebook with primary and secondary unit tags. | Answer the directive and proposition rather than reproducing the chapter. |
| 5. Evidence | A modest bank of verified cases, reports and institutional facts. | Each example proves a point; the source and date can be retrieved. |
| 6. Timed integration | Short answers, longer answers and full papers. | Finish the paper while retaining argument, specificity and legibility. |
Weekly cycle: a suggested routine, not a guaranteed formula
Read a linked cluster; make a concept comparison; write one answer from each paper; review one official report section; add a verified application; revisit errors after a gap. Keep an error log for concept confusion, weak evidence, wrong directive, unsupported quotation and time management.
Can you explain the term plainly? Compare it? Locate the debate? Identify the mechanism? Apply it to an Indian institution? Give a limitation? Answer a dated question under time? If not, more highlighting is unlikely to solve the gap.
Priority judgment: begin with concepts that connect many units, but maintain baseline coverage everywhere. Centrality in a conceptual network is a reason to learn something early, not evidence that it will carry a particular number of marks.
